Seeking to be part of a large, dynamic HR team that is proactive, high energy and valued by management and staff?? Are you a professional individual who enjoys managing his/her own portfolio?? Reporting into the HR Manager, key duties are outline below:
- Employee Relations-partnering with management, providing advise on employee coaching, development and terminations (when needed)
- Policy-acting as first point of contact for management and employee policy interpretation, creating and implementing HR policies, facilitating resolution, ensuring practices and policies followed legislation
- Performance Management-coaching managers when appropriate to develop best practices, discipline when needed, provide rewards & recognition and exit strategies
- Recruitment/Selection-partnering with hiring managers to recruit and select personnel, with a focus on intermediate to manager level salary positions, creating job descriptions when required, conduct interviews with hiring managers and making recommendations, interpreting compensation system and making recommendations on pay, benefits; extending and negotiating employment offers with candidates in partnership with hiring manager
- HR Performance Excellence/Process Improvement-the chosen candidate will act as a champion for HR process improvements, process mapping/documentation practices, standards and procedures, will actively network and build HR channels
- HR Projects-chosen individual will identify, partner and lead projects and HR initiatives, will participate in cross-function projects as required, will conduct training on various HR topics
- Other related HR duties as required

Qualifications to be considered:
- 3+ years of HR experience in a generalist capacity
- HR experience within an industrial environment an asset
- Completion of a degree or diploma with a HR focus
- CHRP in final stage or attained an asset
- 1+ years of Labor Relations experience
- Sound HR knowledge past
- Up to date with leading edge human resources practices at the local and national employment market level
- Passionate about personal training, networking and business reading and HR growth, and enjoys sharing the knowledge and expertise with the HR team and clients
- Strong knowledge of provincial and federal labor and employment laws
- Superb MS Office skills
- Has ability to act as a change agent and leader within the organization
- Strong ability to coach and mentor others
- Good negotiation skills
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Self starter, takes initiative and is client-service oriented
- Able to travel, 10-15% as required, in Alberta and across Canada
